One screen for the whole ride.

Moto OS turns an Android phone into a motorcyclist's dashboard: navigation, hazard warnings and a ride log in an interface built for gloves.

Work in progress. We plan the first road tests for spring 2027.

Illustrative mockup. The window with the map and cards is the interface of the chosen navigation app, which Moto OS does not change (planned, compatibility to be checked in tests). The bar, warning and dock are ours; warnings come from Yanosik.

A phone on a motorcycle’s handlebars was not designed for riding.

  • Two appsNavigation in one app, Yanosik in another, and you switch between them with gloves on.
  • Small screen, thick gloveTiny buttons, a wet screen and a glove: hitting the right one is a lottery.
  • BatteryThe screen stays on all day and the battery drains faster than the fuel in your tank.
  • NoiseNotifications that have nothing to do with riding.

Mount the phone, pick your navigation and ride.

  1. Install Moto OS Lite

On the Android phone that rides on your handlebars.

  2. Pick your navigation

Mapy.cz, Google Maps or Waze (planned, compatibility to be checked in tests). Warnings about speed checks and hazards come from Yanosik.

  3. Ride

Moto OS recognises when you set off, shows the ride screen and records the ride.

Motorcycle navigation: your app, our screen.

Click the tabs. These are illustrative mockups with sample data, and the map styles only resemble the chosen apps. They are not screenshots.

Prototype mockup. Sample data.

Portrait or landscape. Day or night.

You set the orientation once and it stays locked while you ride. The theme switches by itself with the light.

Landscape, Night theme, with Waze. Dock on the left, warning at the bottom.
Landscape, Day theme, with Google Maps. Readable in full sun.

Start with the app. The full system is for the keen.

About the maker

I ride a Honda CB650R. I bought a phone just for navigation and quickly found that a phone on the handlebars is a compromise: navigation in one app, warnings in another, all operated with gloves on. Moto OS is the system I needed myself. I am building it this winter, and in spring I want to test it with you on the road.

Before you sign up.

How much does it cost?

Moto OS Lite will be free at launch.

Do I have to install a new system?

No. You install Moto OS Lite like a regular app. The full Moto OS is for those who want it, on selected phones.

I have an iPhone. Is this for me?

The phone on the handlebars must run Android. Your main phone can be anything, as long as it can share internet over Bluetooth.

Which apps does it work with?

We plan Mapy.cz, Google Maps and Waze, plus warnings from Yanosik. We will check compatibility in tests.

Do I need internet?

For live warnings, yes: Moto OS connects to your phone over Bluetooth. Navigation with offline maps, e.g. Mapy.cz, works without internet.

Can I use Yanosik on a motorcycle together with navigation?

Yes, that is exactly the combination we plan: the navigation app guides the route and Yanosik warnings appear at the bottom of the screen. We will check compatibility in tests.

Does it work with an intercom?

Navigation audio will reach the intercom like from any phone. Deeper integration is planned.

When is the launch?

We are not giving a date. We plan the first road tests for spring 2027. Sign up and we will let you know.

Is it safe?

We design it to take your eyes off the road as little as possible. Follow the law and use the phone only when you can do so safely.
